'Atkins characters are intriguing. Kevin is a cop on the edge, on the run, and frustrated that he can not get a break. Rebecca likes to stick with it for a while, it gives push to resolve the need to stay on the course he set himself.

Rebecca has always been on the run, or at least how he feels it. He is in witness protection program. Kevin not to prove his innocence Rebecca teaches that the solution is no longer running. He was a life he can claim he is brave enough to face his demons.

The story is sophisticated for romance readers. 'Atkins and feelings are full of erotic love scenes. An exciting addition to New Orleans detective series "Sweet Captive" is.

A fast paced read that you can not put down.
